HOW-TO APPLY

Surface Preparation
Surfaces to contact with silicone must be clean and dry and not contain oil, dust, rust and loose parts.
Nonporous surfaces must be cleaned with a suitable solvent and solvent applied onto the surface must be wept from the surface without allowing it to evaporate.
Applying masking tape around the application joints does not only prevents smudging of joints but provides a more aligned application as well.
Masking tape must be removed promptly after application.
Primer is not needed before application on non-porous surfaces like faience, ceramics and glass.
Primer usage may be required for some metal and plastic types.
Application Method
Cut the tip of cartridge and screw the application nozzle to the cartridge.
Cut the nozzle at a suitable point depending  on the thickness of the application joint.
Place the cartridge to the silicone gun and  apply.
Before silicone forms a crust, preferably   within 5 minutes, smoothen the silicone with  fingers or with a thin plastic/wood piece or  with a dry spatula.
Clean the smudged silicone with a solvent  like thinner without allowing it to dry,  because dried silicone can be cleaned with difficulty only by mechanical methods.

Application Details

Bath tubes, shower cabins, sinks, faience tiles, kitchen & bathroom countertops.
Window panes, doorframes, woodwork, mobile metal and plastic construction elements.
Multi-purpose joint insulation works.
Prefabricated structures.

Caution

Since it releases acids, it should not be used in mirrorfixing and on sensitive metals such as lead, copper, brass, silver.
Not suitable for natural stone and concrete surfaces.
Adhesion loss may be seen on surfaces which bleed grease, solvents or plasticizers as time passes.
Should not be used at application areas which will be submerged in water in all times.
Should not be used on surfaces which will directly contact with foods and drinking water.
Silicone mastics may not be painted. Therefore, silicone must not be applied to joints where paint application is thought.
